ONLY TEN GAMES PLAYED AS FROST BITES

Only ten games were played in the league this weekend as overnight snow and frost put paid to many fixtures. Whilst as a league we accept that things like this happen, it becomes frustrating when games are postponed after everybody has arrived at the ground by 10.15. Surely waiting until maybe 11oclock (as happened at some grounds) and after people have made the effort to get there, would have showed a more common sense approach and may have seen the games go ahead.

Anyway, in the games that did go ahead, Norwich Busmen and Hellesdon Athletic produced a six goal thriller at Sloughbottom as they shared the points. Andy Hamby 2, and Shaun Swatman scored for the home side whilst Matt Watson 2, and Danny Shafiyan replied for Hellesdon

In 1A, where Norman Wanderers and Dussindale Rovers encouraged the referee to delay the kick off, the visitors closed the gap at the top of the table by beating Normans 3-1. Vale Longo recorded the 100th win in their history in their 201st game with goals from Gerry Archer 2, Lee Powley and Jutty Womack as they beat The Otter 4-0. In 1B, there was a hat trick for Chris Holmes and a goal for Ben Lewis as Prince of Denmark won 4-3 at Catton FC.

No games were played in 2A, but in 2B it was the Jordan Rocastle show as he scored seven times in PL Rangers 12-1 win over Hingham. Mathew Goddard 2, Jamie Rennie, Lewis Widdows and Chris Leveridge also scored in a game where referee Stuart Bidwell was given top marks for his performance.

3A saw Hellesdon Athletic Res beat Dancing Farmers 4-1, whilst in 3B, Briston Wanderers recent good form continued by beating Bell Inn 5-3, but the ten game unbeaten run of Unicorns Res came to an abrupt end as they were thumped 8-2 at home to Aylsham Sunday Res.

In 4A, Temples Property leapfrogged Temple Bar into third spot after beating them 4-2, whilst the game between Phoenix Felthorpe and Eaton Young Boys ended all square at three each. There were no games played in
