OWN GOAL SINKS NORMAN FINAL DREAMS
Norman Wanderers suffered heartache in their Sunday Senior Cup semi final replay at the home of Yarmouth side El Sol. Normans took the lead on the stroke of time from a belting free kick by Ben Abrahams twenty five yards out. Normans, urged on by a sizeable support continued to look the better side after the break, and had chances to increase the lead. The home side only really threatened from set peices and it was from a corner that they equalised with a header. The last half hour was pretty even but with ten minutes left a defensive mix up saw a Norman centre back head the ball past his own keeper, a blow from which the visitors never recovered. Normans and their supporters were a credit to the league on the day. El Sol now meet Marlborough in the Carrow Road Final
