LAST MINUTE LEVELLER PUTS WYMONDHAM TOP A last minute goal for Wymondham Rangers saw them go top of the Premier Division after a lively encounter at Britannia Barracks. I watched the game and saw two goals from Romano put the home side in a strong position, but a good strike by Culum Webb set up a tense finish which saw the visitors miss a penalty before the last minute equaliser. Poringland are a point behind Wymondham after winning 7-1 at Salhouse and Marlborough won 3-1 at Norman Wanderers to go third. The Silver Fox had a good 2-0 win at The Grove, whilst Dog House and Acle Rangers shared the spoils in a 1-1-draw.
Norwich Busmen top Division 1A after a 5-0 win at Windmill Wanderers followed by North Walsham Town who returned from Norwich CEYMS with a point in a 1-1 draw. Norman Wanderers Res were pleased with their 6-1 win over Hainford YCOB whilst Aylsham Black Boys won 3-1 at home to Rose Valley United. Unicorns made it three from three with a 6-2 victory at Sprowston Wanderers, Aylsham Sunday won 3-2 at Mattishall YCOB and Drayton won 2-1 at Prince of Denmark. Hillside OB gained a 3-2 vitory over Manor Park, whilst Haig FC travelled back to North Norfolk with a hard earned point, drawing 2-2 at Norfolk County Council. Aslacton continued their good start in 2A, with a 1-0 home win over The Castlegate. They lead on goal difference from Green Man who defeated Reepham Town 3-1. Vale Longo won a tight game 3-2 at Plasterers Arms, whilst Norman Wanderers A won 2-0 at home to The Griffen. Spixworth Utd beat Deopham 3-2 and Acle Wanderers and Coachmakers Arms shared six goals equally between them. Old Catton and Acle Rangers Res are setting the pace in 2B. Catton won a local derby against Sprowston Rovers 2-0 whilst Acle beat Ribs of Beef 5-2. Poringland Res gained their first victory of the season, 2-1 over Spixworth Sunday and The Gordon won 7-1 at a luckless Thorpe Rovers. Horsford SC completed the days fixtures in 2B beating Costessey Sports Res 2-0. Seventeen goals already for Dereham Wanderers who scored six when winning at Sporting Longdale in 3A. Upton praised the unofficial referee as they won 6-1 at Mad Moose. The Otter scored five without reply at Bystanders (Bestway Taxis) and there were home wins for DCS Rapid, 3-1 against Newsman Celtic, The Reindeer who beat Temple Bar 2-0, and Heartsease Casuals who beat Stoke FC 3-2. Dynamo Denmark had a good result in 3B, beating Moles Rest 3-1. It was Moles Rest's first defeat league defeat since joining the Sunday League at the start of last season. Wilco Fast Fit won 3-2 at Bayer FC and AFC Rompers also won away, 2-1 at Taverham United. Mischief Tavern won 3-2 at home to Hethersett Res, whilst there were draws between Wymondham Res and Aylsham Res, 2-2, and Unicorns Res and Sporting Farmhouse, 1-1. In 4A, Dancing Farmers were delighted with their performance when beating The Brickmakers 6-0. Sprowston Royal Oak top the division after a 3-1 win at Hockering, closely followed by Siver Fox Res who beat AFC Mousehold 8-2. Wellington Pink Uns have also made a good start to life in the league and scored five without reply against Sporting Longdale Res. Earlham Colney won 5-3 at Norwich Airport, whilst Kings Arms and Hellesdon Athletic Res drew 3-3. In 4B Earlham United Res made the long trip to felmingham and won 4-1. Heartsease FC scored six without reply against Wendene Wanderers which was the only home win in the division. Hingham won 2-1 at Constitution, AFC Oak defeated Spixworth Sunday Res 3-1, Maid Marion beat Freethorpe Sunday 3-1 and Salhouse Res won 4-2 at Hethersett "A" |
