SEVENTH HEAVEN FOR ROVERS

Quebec Rovers brought the recent good run of The Grove to an abrupt halt when they thumped seven without reply against the Premier Division's second placed side at Brittania Barracks. The Silver Fox stay top after a 1-1 draw at Acle Rangers, and Marlborough's poor run of league form continued as they went down 1-0 at home to Norman Wanderers. Dog House got their first win of the season, beating Wymondham Rangers 2-1.

1A leaders Norman Wanderers Res went down 2-1 at Windmill Wanderers and are now only a point ahead of Norwich Busmen, who had a 5-0 win over Rose Valley Utd. Unthank Arms continue to climb the table after beating North Walsham 2-1. It wasn't a good day for the leaders in 1B either as Norfolk CCSC, suffered a 3-1 defeat at Prince of Denmark. Aylsham Sunday are up to second after a 4-1 win at Drayton whilst Costessey Sunday hammered nine past Mattishall YCOB. Sprowston Wanderers won 2-1 at Hillside OB and Earlham Utd took a point in a six goal thriller against Unicorns.

Norman Wanderers "A" are the new leaders in 2A after a 5-1 win over Acle Wanderers for whom Ross Saunders scored his first goal for the club. The game between Aslacton and Green Man proved to be as close as their league positions would suggest as they drew 1-1, whilst Vale Longo also drew 1-1 with Reepham Town. Two goals by Stuart Catchpole and two more by Mercer and Goodale helped Deopham to a good 4-2 win at The Griffen, whilst Plasterers Arms beat Spixworth Utd 2-1 and The Castlegate beat Coachmakers Arms by the odd goal in seven. In 2B, Nichols, Gashut, Riches and an own goal were the scorers as Horsford SC stopped Old Catton's perfect start to the season in its tracks, beating the home side 4-2. Second placed Sprowston Rovers hit St Faiths for six and Ribs of Beef beat Acle Rangers Res 4-2. Spixworth Sunday had a good 5-3 win over The Gordon.

Justin Cameron found the net as Stoke FC won 1-0 at 3A leaders Upton, whilst second placed Heartsease Casuals earned a point in a 2-2 draw at Sporting Longdale. Newsman Celtic are third courtesy of a 4-0 win over Temple Bar. Two goals for Nathan Savage and one apiece for Adam Knights and Matt Wilson helped The Reindeer to a 4-2 win over Mad Moose for whom Jason Downing scored twice. DCS Rapid had a 2-0 (Steve Rudder and Dolf tr Lintelo) home win over Bystanders. In 3B leaders Mischief had a comfortable 4-0 home win over Taverham United but second placed Wymondham Res went down 3-1 at Moles Rest. Sporting Farmhouse thumped Aylsham Res 8-1 and Bayer FC continued their recent good form, winning 6-1 at Unicorns Res. Hethersett Res beat Wilco Fast Fit 3-0, whilst Dynamo Denmark and AFC Rompers shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

There seems to be no stopping Wellington Pink Uns at the top of 4A as they won 8-2 at Hockering. There was a good solo effort by Jake Newstead and another goal by Liam Doyle as Hellesdon Ath Res went down 2-1 at Sprowston Royal Oak. A Chris Brazell hat trick helped Dancing Farmers to a 5-1 win over Kings Arms and Earlham Colney had a convincing 9-2 win over Sporting Longdale Res. Brickmakers hit five without reply against AFC Mousehold and Norwich Airport won 2-1 at home to Silver Fox Res. Jamie Clarkson hit four as Maid Marion won 8-4 at Salhouse Rovers Res and now lead 4B by two points from AFC Oak who won 2-1 at Hingham thanks to goals from Peter Finbow and Adam Bridge. Freethorpe have risen quietly up to third spot after a 3-2 win at Felmingham but a ninth goal of the season for Ben Lewis was not enough to take all the points for Heartsease FC as they drew 1-1 at Constitution FC. Earlham Utd Res won 4-2 at home to Wendene and Hethersett Res drew 2-2 at home to Spixworth Sunday Res.
