Once again, the weather took centre stage as Storm Dennis came….at a whimper but still games we called off due to it. Not all postponements were due to the wind (which wasn’t there), some were down to pitch conditions which can’t be helped.
There were 2 games in the Prem, in form Farmhouse travelled to Phoenix, sharing 6 goals in a 3-3 draw, Tom Huckerby, Charlie Wade and Rob Warminger scoring for Farmhouse. Goals from Kieran Murrell 2 and Adam Brown were enough to see Middle Green leapfrog Mischief when beating them 3-1.
Silver Fox march on at the top of Div 1 and are promoted to the Prem, by my maths anyway. A comfortable 4-0 win against 3rd placed Norman Wanderers. Marlborough scored 3 without reply against FC Viking and Windmill picked up a long overdue win against Vale Longo, winning 3-2. Aaron Saddleton and Jack Bartram scoring for Vale.
Eaton Beehive’s slim promotion hopes remain on track in Div 2 after a 2-0 win against Newsman Celtic, Conor Durrant with both goals.
4 goals from Ashley Varley and further goals from Ryan Jones 2, Jordan Miles and Daniel Pecks saw Earsham move up to 2nd in Div 2, in their 8-1 win over Cellar House. Luckless FC Viking Reserves continue to look for their first point of the season after going down 3-1 at home to Eaton Park Corinthians, Michael Watts 2 and Christian Everington scoring.
3rd played 4th in Div 4 and there were 8 goals, 6 scored by Sprowston United in their win over Freethorpe and there were 10 goals in the game between Tavern Old Boys and Felthorpe, Tavern winning 7-3 thanks to goals from Nathan Bailey 4, Garry Evans 2 and Leighton Pritchard.
