TOP THREE MARCH ON
The top three in the Premier, Marlborough, Norman Wanderers and Delaneys all recorded victories this weekend. Poringland won 4-2 at Prince of Denmark whilst The Grove beat Hethersett 3-0.
In 1A, AFC Wanderers top the division with a 100% record after a 3-1 win at Hainford YCOB. Winstone Rovers scored eight without reply at Freemasons Arms and Silver Fox won 6-1 at Champion. There were also wins for Norwich Busmen and Angel Gardens. Salhouse Rovers still top 1B after beating Sprowston Wanderers, whilst there were wins for Taverham Utd, Aylsham Sunday and Wymondham Rangers. Unicorns drew 3-3 with Hillside OB.
2A leaders Gilson Bailey lost 2-1 at Norman Res and Windmill Wanderers also got beaten, 3-2 at North Walsham Town. Hellesdon Ath, Acle Wanderers, Earlham Bridges and Aslacton all recorded victories. Norwich CEYMS have opened up a gap at the top in 2B after a good 2-1 victory at Haigh FC. Costessey Sports lost 2-1 at Thorpe Rovers whilst Earlham United's win over Hethersett Res saw them move up to third place. There were also wins for Horsford SC and Ex Mile Cross whilst Bayer and Ketts Tavern drew.
Nelson march on in 3A after hitting seven passed Temple Bar, Plasterers Arms beat The Reindeer 4-2. There were big wins for Stoke, Deopham and Green Man. Old Catton and Norfolk CCSC are pulling away from the rest of 3B. Both had victories today. Costessey Res and Taverham Res also won whilst PL Rangers and Spixworth drew 2-2.
Coachmakers Arms ended the 100% record of 4B leaders Reepham Town, beating them 4-1. DCS Rapid are still second after beating Pulham 5-3. Norman "A" , Elm Tavern and The Mitre all won whilst Earlham Colney Res drew with Mulbarton Wanderers.
Hingham continue to dominate in 4B after a 5-2 win over Sprowston Rovers. Felmingham scored the only goal of the game at Royal Oak. Thorpe Marriot thumped Dancing Farmers 8-1 whilst AFC Fifers and Hethersett "A" both won. Freethorpe and Dynamo Denmark drew 3-3.

HETHERSETT PAY THE PENALTY
Hethersett's poor run of results continued today when they went down 3-0 at Poringland, their cause not helped by missing a penalty when one down. Leaders Marlborough went further clear at the top, winning 3-1 at Quebec, whilst Norman Wanderers moved up to second after beating Rosary Rams 4-1. Mattishall YCOB had a good 1-0 at The Grove and Prince of Denmark kept up their good run winning 5-3 at Acle Rangers.
In 1A leaders Eaton Beehive thumped seven passed Freemasons Arms and second placed AFC Wanderers beat Felthorpe 3-1. Winstone Rovers lost ground on the top two after drawing 3-3 with Aylsham Black Boys. Norwich Busmen, Angel Gardens and The Silver Fox all had home wins. Salhouse Rovers continue to lead 1B after beating Poringland Reserves and Taverham Sunday moved up to second spot when beating Acle Res 4-3. Unicorns scored eight at Manor Park, whilst Aylsham Sunday and Wymondham Rangers drew 1-1.
Gilson Bailey took advantage of a 2-2 draw between Windmill Wanderers and Hellesdon Ath, to go top after beating Newsman Celtic 3-2. North Walsham OB beat Norman Res and Acle Wanderers had a 3-0 win at Norwich Union. Aslacton had a 2-2 draw at Earlham Bridges, whilst credit to Earlham Colney who fought back after last weeks heavy defeat, to gain their first point of the season when drawing 4-4 with North Walsham Town. Norwich CEYMS beat Earlham Utd 2-1 to stay top of 2B. Costessey Sports and Horsford SC drew 2-2, whilst Drayton ended Haigh FC's perfect record, beating them 4-1. Hethersett Res and Ex Mile Cross both had big wins and Ketts Tavern drew 2-2 with Thorpe Rovers.
Nelson opened up a gap at the top of 3A when winning 5-0 at Temple Bar. Plasterers Arms beat Mad Moose 3-2 and Green Man had a good 4-2 victory over Brickmakers. The Griffin, Deopham and The Reindeer were all victors in high scoring games. Old Catton and Norfolk CCSC are starting to pull away at the top of 3B after good wins, whilst third placed St Faiths scored seven without reply at Aylsham Res. Wymondham Res thumped six past Ribs of Beef and PL Rangers won 3-2 at Unicorns Res.
Reepham Town made it nine out of nine after a 6-2 win at home to Elm Tavern. DCS Rapid drew 2-2 at Mulbarton and Norman "A" are third after a 1-0 win at Pulham. Coachmakers Arms won 4-0 at Upton, Branford drew with Sporting Longdale and The Mitre drew with Earlham Colney Res. Battle of the top two in 4B saw Hingham Ath come away from Dynamo Denmark with an 8-1 victory. Felmingham drew 4-4 with Mischief and Sprowston Rovers are fourth after beating Thorpe Marriot 2-1. Dancing Farmers beat Royal Oak 5-2 and AFC Fifers also had a good win, 4-1 against Hethersett "A". Mundesley and Freethorpe drew 2-2

CHAMPIONS MARCH ON
Marlborough have opened up a gap at the top of the Premier Division after beating bottom side Rosary Rams 6-3. Second placed Hethersett slumped to a 3-2 home defeat against Acle Rangers, whilst Delaneys and Norman Wanderers drew 1-1. The Grove beat Poringland 5-0 whilst Prince of Denmark gained their first league win of the season, beating Quebec 2-1.
Eaton Beehive and AFC Wanderers continue to set the pace in 1A after big away wins and Winstone Rovers are third following a 5-1 win at Farmhouse. Norwich Busmen and Silver Fox both had good wins, whilst Felthorpe and Hainford YCOB shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. In 1B, leaders Salhouse won 7-4 at Hillside OB and Sprowston Wanderers beat Manor Park 5-0. In the battle of the bottom two Acle Res beat Poringland Res 5-2.
Highest score of the season so far was in 2A as Hellesdon Athletic demolished Earlham Colney 22-1. Windmill Wanderers are still top despite losing their 100% record as they drew 4-4 at Norman Res. Gilson Bailey won 4-2 at Aslacton and there were also wins for Newsman Celtic and North Walsham Town. The big game in 2B saw Haigh FC beat Costessey Sports 2-1. This paved the way for Norwich CEYMS to take over at the top as they beat Drayton 5-3. Bayer, Thorpe Rovers and Horsford SC all tasted victory as did Earlham United who scored five without reply at Wilco Fast Fit.

Reepham Town stiil lead the way in 4A after a 4-2 win at Sporting Longdale whilst second placed DCS Rapid thumped The Mitre 8-0. Upton and Branford Arms both had good away wins whilst Coachmakers Arms and Norman "A" drew 1-1. Hingham won 1-0 at Thorpe Marriot and now top 4B as Dynamo Denmark dropped points for the first time this season, losing 5-4 at Mundesley. Mischief beat Dancing Farmers 3-2 and Felmingham won 5-0 at Hethersett "A". AFC Fifers had a good win at Freethorpe whilst Sprowston Rovers recent good league form continued with a 5-2 win at Royal Oak
FREEMASONS STUNG
There was a limited league programme today due to the County Cup competitions and the added attraction of the the Norwich v Ipswich game at Carrow Road. All clubs not in cup action were given the chance to have a free weekend by the league if required, due to players wanting to see the East Anglian derby. In Division 1A Freemasons Arms must be wishing they had taken the league's offer as they went down 14-0 at home to Eaton Beehive.
Two games were played in 2B and both resulted in the home side scoring five times. Norwich CEYMS beat Wilco Fast Fit 5-2, whilst Thorpe Rovers overcame Drayton AFC 5-3.
It was also home wins in 3A. Temple Bar beat Deopham 3-1 and Coltishall Colts beat Brickmakers 4-2.
In 4A DCS Rapid closed the gap on leaders Reepham by beating Mulbarton Wanderers 6-0, whilst Branford Arms and Elm Tavern shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
Finally in 4B, Freethorpe had a good 6-1 home victory over Mundesley Sunday
