DCS CONTINUE RAPID RISE

Two first half goals against Poringland Wanderers were enough for Marlborough to keep their four point lead at the top of the Premier Division. Nearest challengers Norman Wanderers beat Acle Rangers 3-1, whilst third placed Delaneys could only manage a 1-1 draw at bottom side Rosary Rams. Quebec had a good 2-1 victory at The Grove.

AFC Wanderers made it twelve from twelve, when they beat Angel Gardens 5-1. Second placed Eaton Beehive won 2-1 against Norwich Busmen, whilst Felthorpe moved up to third spot after a 1-0 win against Farmhouse. Aylsham Black Boys beat Freemasons Arms 7-1. In 1B Taverham Utd overcame Hillside 5-4, and Aylsham Sunday won 4-1 at home to Manor Park. Unicorns won 4-1 at Acle Res and Sprowston Wanderers came from behind to leave Poringland Res with a 2-1 victory.

Windmill Wanderers are the new leaders of 2A after beating Gilson Bailey 4-1. Previous leaders Hellesdon Ath were thumped 4-0 at home by Norman Wanderers Res. North Walsham Town scored six when beating Newsman Celtic and Norwich Union four when beating North Walsham OB. In the battle of the Earlhams, Bridges beat Colney 3-0. Costessey Sunday closed the gap on the leaders in 2B after beating Bayer FC 4-1. Earlham United and Haig FC drew 3-3 whilst Wilco Fast Fit gained another point in a 2-2 draw with Horsford SC. Hethersett Res had a good 4-2 win over Drayton.

3A leaders Nelson beat Mad Moose 4-2 to stay four points clear of Plasterers Arms who won 3-2 at third placed Green Man. The Griffen scored seven in beating Coltishall Colts and Stoke had a good 1-0 victory over Deopham. The game between Brickmakers and The Reindeer ended goalless whilst Mousehold got a point against Temple Bar.

Top beat bottom 6-0 as Old Catton met luckless AFC Rompers, but second placed Norfolk CCSC dropped points in a 3-3 draw with Ribs of Beef. Eleven goals at Aylsham Sunday Res saw visitors Spixworth win 6-5 whilst Costessey Res scored six without reply against Taverham Res. St Faiths and PL Rangers drew 2-2 and Wymondham Res hammered Unicorns Res 9-0.

Arguably, the game of the day was in 4A where DCS Rapid took over at the top from Normans "A" after winning 1-0. Reepham kept in touch, beating The Mitre 5-0 whilst Pulham are fourth after beating Branford Arms 8-1. Coachmakers Arms hit seven against Earlham Colney Res and Elm Tavern beat Sporting Longdale 6-3. Mulbarton Wanderers climbed away from the foot of the table after a good 4-1 win at Upton. Felmingham had a good 3-2 win at Dynamo Denmark to move closer to Hingham at the top of 4B. Mischief are third after 3-1 victory at Royal Oak. Sprowston Rovers beat Mundesley 3-0 and Dancing Farmers beat AFC Fifers 3-1. Thorpe Marriot and Hethersett "A" drew 1-1.
