DELANEYS SET UP REPEAT PERFORMANCE

Delaneys set up a repeat of last year's Norfolk Sunday Senior Cup Final when they beat Marlborough 2-0 in front of a very large crowd at Cringleford. After a tense first few minutes Andy Eastaugh brought a superb save from the Marlborough keeper who tipped his shot onto the crossbar. But the first goal was scored soon after when Horton fired home from just inside the box. Marlborough hit back and should have levelled soon after, when Cameron headed over from close range. However the better chances were falling to the home side and they could, and maybe should, have gone in at half time further ahead. Marlborough came into the game more after the break but without really proving to be a threat, though Bevis had a good effort well saved by the home keeper. Fox made the game safe for the home side when he headed home with eight minutes left and set Delaneys up for a return trip to Carrow Rd.

Quebec Rovers got over the disappointment of last weeks cup defeat by thumping Prince of Denmark 6-0 in the Premier Division. The Grove moved up to third, beating Poringland 3-1 whilst Acle Rangers and Hethersett Ath drew 1-1.

After ending the unbeaten run of AFC Wanderers last week, Aylsham Black Boys were brought crashing back to earth when they were hammered 9-0 by Eaton Beehive who now go top of 1A. Wymondham Rangers and Salhouse Rovers continue to fight it out at the top of 1B. Wymondham won 4-0 at Taverham and Salhouse 6-1, at home to Aylsham Sunday. The battle of the bottom two saw Acle Res win 4-2 at Poringland Res.

Hellesdon Ath beat Earlham Colney 6-1 to go back to the top of 2A as previous leaders Windmill Wanderers lost 3-1 at home to Norman Wanderers Res. There was a shock for 2B leaders Norwich CEYMS who went down 2-0 at home to Drayton. Second placed Earlham United beat Wilco Fast Fit 3-1.

Nelson stretched thier lead at the top of 3A with a 3-0 win over Brickmakers, whilst The Green Man kept in touch with the leaders, beating Stoke 3-1. 3B leaders Old Catton dropped points when they drew 2-2 at home to St Faiths, but second placed Norfolk CCSC crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Spixworth.

DCS Rapid scraped past The Mitre 5-4 to stay top of 4A, whilst second placed Normans"A" beat third placed Coachmakers Arms 4-0. In the South Norfolk derby, Pulham United drew 2-2 with Mulbarton Wanderers. Hingham Ath are starting to pull clear of the rest of 4B, after beating Thorpe Marriot 4-1.
