ROSARY CONTINUE TO RISE
Marlborough went four points clear at the top of the Premier division when they won 3-2 at The Grove this morning. Goals aplenty at Brittania Barracks saw Rosary Rams make it three wins on the trot, beating Acle Rangers 5-4. Poringland won 2-0 at Mattishall whilst bottom side Prince of Denmark beat Hethersett Ath 3-2.
With three games in hand AFC Wanderers closed the gap at the top of 1A to a point after a 5-1 win at The Silver Fox. Aylsham Black Boys beat Winstone Rovers 11-5, whilst Champion Ath made it two wins on the trot, winning 1-0 at Farmhouse. Angel Gardens gained a point in a 2-2 draw with Felthorpe FC. 1B leaders Salhouse Rovers scraped past Manor Park 2-1, whilst Wymondham Rangers hammered nine past Hillside OB as the top two in IB stay neck and neck. Unicorns are third after a 4-0 win over Sprowston Wanderers and Aylsham Sunday won 5-2 at luckless Poringland Res.
2A leaders beat Hellesdon Ath beat third placed Gilson Bailey 5-2 to increase their lead at the top to four points as second placed Windmill Wanderers surprisingly lost 3-2 at home to Acle Wanderers. The North Walsham derby ended in a 3-1 victory for Town over Old Boys. There was a good away win for Aslacton, 3-1 at Newsman Celtic, whilst Norwich Union beat Earlham Colney 5-1. Norman Res and Earlham Bridges ended goalless. 2B leaders Norwich CEYMS demol;ished Bayer FC 11-1, but second placed Earlham Utd went down 2-1 at home to Ex Mile Cross. Costessey Sports beat Hethersett Res 3-1 and Ketts Tavern scored four without reply at Wilco Fast Fit.
Nelson went back to the top of 3A after a 2-1 win against Coltishall Colts. Green Man went down 3-2 at The Griffen and Stoke won 4-1 at The Reindeer. Temple Bar lost 2-1 at home to Mad Moose, whilst Brickmakers beat Mousehold 2-1. 3B leaders Old Catton had a good 2-1 win at Wymondham Res and Norfolk CCSC won 3-1 at Taverham Res. There were away wins for Unicorns Res and Spixworth, whilst Aylsham Res and Ribs of Beef drew 0-0.
Its now six wins on the trot now for Upton in 4A as they won 3-2 at Pulham Utd. Mulbarton Wand won 3-2 at Sporting Longdale and Elm Tavern beat The Mitre 3-1. The games between Normans "A" and Reepham and Coachmakers and Branford Arms ended in draws. In 4B Felmingham drew 2-2 at Thorpe Marriot and Mischief won 2-0 at Mundesley. Freethorpe won 5-3 at Hethersett "A" and Dynamo Denmark drew 0-0 with Sprowston Rovers.
In the delayed League Cup Quarter Final Delaneys beat Norman Wanderers 3-2 and now face AFC Wanderers in the semi's on March 16th
