TREBLE FOR MARLBOROUGH

Congratulations to Marlborough FC who clinched their third succesive Sunday League Premier title this morning. A 2-1 victory for John Linford's boys at Prince of Denmark ensured they cannot be caught. Nearest challengers Norman Wanderers remain favourites for the runners up spot after a 2-1 win at Poringland. The recovery of Rosary Rams continues as they beat The Grove 3-2, whilst Hethersett and Quebec Rovers drew 3-3.

In 1A there were home wins for Champion Ath, 5-1 over Angel Gardens, Hainford YCOB, 4-3 over Felthorpe and The Silver Fox who thumped Aylsham Black Boys 5-0. Norwich Busmen won 2-1 at Farmhouse.

In 2A Earlham Bridges drew 3-3 at home to Norwich Union, whilst Norman Res won 2-1 at Aslacton. Costessey Sports Sunday blew the 2B title race wide open when they won 2-1 at leaders Norwich CEYMS. Costessey now trail the leaders by six points, but have three games in hand. Haig FC beat Hethersett Res 6-3 and Ex Mile Cross scored six without reply at Bayer FC.

Well done to Nelson who took the 3A title with a 2-0 win at Green Man. The result also means that Plasterers Arms will take second spot. In 3B Spixworth thumped Taverham Res 6-0, St Faiths beat Ribs of Beef 5-1 and Costessey Res completed a good day for the club,winning 3-0 at Unicorns Res.

In 4A, there were big wins for Reepham, 7-0 at Earlham Colney Res and Mulbarton Wanderers, 6-0 at home to The Mitre. Felmingham must now win their last game of the season to ensure runners up spot in 4B after losing 5-2 at Felthorpe, whilst Sprowston Rovers had a good 2-1 win at Mischief.
