HUDSON SENDS BEEHIVE TO PREMIER

Shaun Hudson blasted a second half double to send Eaton Beehive into the Premier Division as they overcame Wymondham Rangers 3-2 at Mulberry Park. Beehive started the game well against their youthfull opponents and took the lead on 20 minutes when Simon Nichols headed home from a corner. Wymondham raised their game and began to dominate and it came as no surprise when Rob Brown broke free to fire home the equaliser on 37 minutes. With the scores level at the break Wymondham came out and continued to press, but Beehive were still making chances and on 68 minutes Shaun Hudson found himself with space in the box and his effort flew in off the post. To their credit the young Wymondham side tried to raise their game again and were unlucky when a header from the impressive Brown came back off the crossbar. Brown was not to be denied though, as on 84 minutes he cut in from the right hand side to crack home the equaliser. They say a side is at its most vunerable just after they have scored and this proved to be the case as straight from the kick off Beehive pressed forward and Hudson showed all the finishing prowess that he inherited from his father Kevin with an excellent goal to send Beehive back to the Premier Division. Congratulations to all players and officials who made it an entertaining morning.

In the Premier Division, the season finished with Delaneys completing a quick fire double beating last weeks opponents Poringland Wanderers 3-0. Delaneys finish the season in third place.

In 1A Champion Ath beat AFC Wanderers 2-1 to complete the seasons league fixtures.
