Game of the day was the Premier clash between Marlborough and Hethersett Athletic at Eaton Park. A hard fought encounter saw the visitors go back to the top of the league after a late goal gave them a 3-2 victory. At the other end of the table Coltishall Sunday moved off the bottom courtesey of a 2-2 draw against Aylsham Sunday. Prince Of Denmark need to win one of their last two fixtures to avoid the drop after losing 3-1 against Acle Rangers, whilst next weeks Senior Cup Finalists Delaneys needed a penalty deep into injury time to gain a point in a 1-1 draw at Poringland.
Its still all to play for at the top of 1A. All of the top three sides had victories, The Grove, 7-0 at Anglians, AFC Wanderers 3-1 at Winstone Rovers and Mattishall YCOB, 2-0 at Windmill Wanderers. There was a surprise in 1B where long time leaders Rosary Rams went down 3-2 at home to Unicorns,whilst second placed Taverham United beat Sprowston Wanderers 5-2.
The two games in 2A saw Norman Wanderers Res win 4-1 at Aslacton and Norwich Union beat Earlham Bridges 4-0. The lead in 2B changed hands again as Champion Athletic returned to the top of the table after winning 5-0 at Hethersett Res, whilst at the bottom Drayton AFC moved up a place with a good 7-0 win at Earlham United.
Congratulations to Hellesdon Athletic who are the champions of 3A. They beat third placed North Walsham Town 5-2. Upton gained their second win of the season by beating Maid Marian 1-0.In 3B Costessey Sports Sunday celebrated their title triumph by thumping Dancing Farmers 8-1 whilst Haig FC will finish as runners up after beating Blofield Rangers 3-2.
Congratulations to Nelson in 4A who became champions without playing when Coltishall Colts lost 4-3 at Mulbarton Wanderers. Bottom side Owens Pub gained a point with a 3-3 draw against Coachmakers Arms whilst Stoke must be disappointed in the way their season tailed off. They lost their final game 2-1 at home to Sporting Longdale. The top two in 4B both had victories, Costessey Res 9-0 at Felmingham and Norfolk CCS 2-1 against Hethersett A. the other game in the division saw Wymondham Res beat Spixworth 2-1
