Norwich Sunday Football League - SUNDAY SENIOR CUP FINAL

SUNDAY SENIOR CUP FINAL Print E-mail

Delaneys head for Carrow Road this weekend looking to retain the trophy they won last year after beating fellow Norwich Sunday League side Norman Wanderers 2-0. This years opponents in the final are Yarmouth Sunday League side Camden Tavern FC. Kick off is at 11am. Delaneys go into the match with the leagues best wishes and lets hope the Cup remains in this part of Norfolk. GOOD LUCK LADS !!!!. To get an insight into the Norwich side here's a rundown of the playing squad as supplied by the club.

Graham Challen
Non playing manager of the side as he is contracted to Wroxham. Looking to lead his team to consecutive Carrow Road victories.

Nathen Pauling
Assistant manager and goalkeeper for Dereham. Not quite as verbal as fireman Challen!

Andy Jackson
An ever-present, confident keeper who has had a fine season. Plays for Wroxham.

Ryan Lythgoe
Slotted in well at right back and can operate in midfield if need be.

Kaine Challen
Highly motivated centre-back with a passion for winning. It's never quiet with Kaine in the side.

Stephen Eastaugh
UEFA coach, good organiser and reader of the game. Has had a good season at centre-back in the role of club captain.

Darren Maxey
Not seen the best of Darren this season as he's suffered from a number of niggling injuries. Can play anywhere across the back. One of a number of Sheringham players

Neil Symonds
Joined the club this season and has made the left-back position his own. Recently signed for Yarmouth.

Matthew Nixon
Solid left back who has been kept out of the side recently due to the form of 'Symo'.

Karl Horton
'Horty' signed this season is a central or right sided midfielder who works hard and is good passer. Plays for Cromer.

Mark Andrews
Long serving player and the playmaker of the side. Has been known to crack them in from a distance.

Andrew Eastaugh
A colossus in midfield with an improving temperament. Has made the central position his own having benefited from a season with Sheringham.

Shaun Turner
Cultured left footer midfielder who will forego his FA duties to play in this one.

Paul Timms
Tricky and speedy winger who has proved with Cromer and Sheringham that, on his day, he can be a match winner.

Olly King
Wroxham striker who missed a fair chunk of the season for Delaneys but will be out to notch a goal or two today.

Karl Fox
Experienced striker now with Sheringham. He has good close control and awareness and will be looking to get his name on the scoresheet too.

Scott McGiney
Sprowston Athletic striker who has only been with Delaneys for part of the season but has proved he can be an asset to the club in a forward position.

Damien Didwell
Likeable striker signed this season and has notched some important goals. Plays for Yarmouth.

Christian Jones
Played a few games this season but not match fit and picked up an injury in the semi final

Shaun Hudson
Another player who has suffered from niggling injuries this season which haven't kept him off the golf course.

Robert Eastaugh
Elder twin of Andrew, brother of Stephen. Has found his chances on the left wing limited but scored one of the most memorable goals of the season.

Josh Barzey
Not been available recently and missed for his humour more than his silky skills!
