ONLY FIVE SURVIVE AS SNOW HITS

Only five games survived this weekend as overnight snow wreaked havoc to the scheduled fixture list

Of the games that did survive, I saw the League Cup game between Schoolhouse and Aslacton at Easton College. The Premier Division outfit won the game comfortably 6-0 thanks to goals from Dale Simpson 2, Jack Smith, OG, Zak Anwar and a Sam Applegate thunderbolt, but both sides deserve credit for producing a performance on a snow covered pitch. Schoolhouse officials swept the lines before kick off and their efforts were rewarded with a Quarter Final tie at home to The Middle Green.

In 1B, Salhouse Rovers came back from Binham Village with a 10-1 victory under their belts, whilst despite going to great effort to make their pitch playable; MC Rovers suffered a 7-3 defeat at home to SNS FC in 2A.

In the Under 19A Division, leaders Watton United were 2-1 winners at Grasshoppers whilst in the B Division, Old Catton won 3-2 at Rockland United
