On a weekend that saw the Semi Finals of the County Cups take place, it was a very good day for the League. Acle Rangers grabbed themselves a Carrow Rd final in the Sunday Senior Cup as they won 4-1 at fellow league side Horsford. They will now play holders Windmill from Yarmouth in the final. Silver Fox will face Aylsham in the final of the Sunday Junior Cup at the FDC after both sides made it through with comforable wins, Silver Fox beat Lynn side Shouldham 6-2 whilst Aylsham scored eight without reply against Qube FC.

It was also Quarter Final stage of the League Cup and there was a major shock as holders Schoolhouse slumped to a 4-1 home defeat to Drayton Dazzlers. Farmhouse won by the odd goal of seven at Poringland Wanderers, whilst Matt Giles grabbed a treble, Callum Wiley a double and Nathan Page a single as Hewett OB’s reached the semi final with a 6-0 win over Aslacton.

In a day of surprise results, there was a wake up call for Premier Division leaders Riverside Rovers as they were beaten 4-1 at ever improving Trimingham Pilgrims.

In Div 1, Phoenix cemented their place at the top of the table by thumping Hellesdon 8-0, whilst Brooke kept their promotion hopes on track as Dan King 2, Ben Nichols 2, Lewis Allen, Stephen Crowe and Sam page all scored in a 7-1 win at Windmill Wanderers.

With Drayton Dazzlers in cup action, the top two in Div two made the most of it to increase the gap at the top. leaders Woolpack were 5-1 winners at Barracks FC whilst Mischief scored six without reply at Sprowston Ath Wildcats. Mad Moose were 5-1 winners over Mettingham and there was a narrow 3-2 victory for Briston over Vale Longo. Marlborough also collected three points as they recorded a 4-0 win over Hethersett Ath.

With the mornings top two without a game, Norman Wanderers A went to the top of Div 3 after a 5-1 win over Dynamo. MC Rovers went down 3-1 at Bungay Town Res, whilst Hempnall won 6-2 at East Tuddenham.

There were goals for Jonny Billing 3, Josh Edge 2, Matt Billing 2 and Craig Beeden 2 as FC Viking ran out 9-2 winners over Nelson Athletic and Rackheath Rangers scored four without reply as they won at Woodton Utd.

No games took place in Div 5 and in the Under 19’s, the only game played saw Acle Rangers beat Heigham Park Rangers 2-1
