MOOSE FAIL TO HOLD ON AS ACLE FIGHTBACK The outstanding games remaining the in League Cup second round were played this weekend. Mad Moose, bottom of 1A at present gave Premier Division Acle Rangers a real fright by racing to a two goal lead within the first ten minutes, but a second half recovery by the home side saw them progress to the next round as they scored four without reply. ROVERS GO NAP TO OPEN UP GAP Quite a pleasant morning greeted players and spectators alike this weekend as the race for honours in every division begins to heat up. Some games though, still fell foul of the bad weather from last week as pitches, including some at Eaton Park, had not recovered from being played on during the previous weeks deluge.  FARMHOUSE FIGHT BACK TO EDGE THRILLER This weekend’s fixture list was decimated as the recent constant heavy rain took its toll on many pitches in the Norfolk area. Credit goes to the hardy souls who braved the inclement weather to stand on the touchline. Credit goes to both sides  and the referee as they switched pitches at 9.15am and

MIXED FORTUNES FOR NDSL CLUBS IN COUNTY CUPS In a weekend that saw the Quarter Final stages of the County Cups, there were varying degrees of success for our clubs taking part. I was part of a large crowd who attended the Sunday Senior QF at Acle Rangers where Riverside Rovers were the visitors. Rovers took the lead within five minutes when Scott Gray fired home from the edge of the box following a corner.

FROST HITS HARD BUT DOES’NT STOP RAMPANT ROVERS Overnight frost ensured that only twenty four games survived on the first Sunday of 2015. It has to be said though that great credit goes to those who gave their game every chance by waiting as long as possible, 11am in many cases. Some were successful, some not so lucky and in one case, Ribs Rovers and Taverham United actually put buckets of hot water onto a
