Leon Brock hit a hat trick, Josh Bull a double, and there were goals for Rhys Logan and Tim Henery as Schoolhouse came form behind to beat Poringland Wanderers 7-3. Tim Carey replied with a treble for the visitors. The game between Riverside Rovers and AFC Wanderers was goalless at the break, but the reigning champions stepped up a gear in the second half to score five without reply with Jordan Rocastle and Shaun Wones both grabbing a brace and Aaron Kay also finding the net. Despite two Chris Holmes goals, one a “40 yard screamer” PoW lost to a late goal from Acle Rangers for whom Ricky Forder, Ryan Flint and Celeb Futter all scored in a 3-2 win. Jonny Page and Ian Babb were on target as Bell Inn took a point in an even game at Dussindale, whilst despite goals from Ryhs Cousins and Tommy Salmon, Farmhouse went down 3-2 at home to Norman Wanderers. Aslacton and Bungay Town gained their first point of the season after a goalless draw.

Bungay Town Res and Windmill Wanderers are setting the early pace in 1A. Bungay scored four without reply in their game at Anglian Rovers, whilst an Aaron James hat trick and a Kieran Robins strike, helped Wanderers to win by the odd goal in seven at Brooke. Rob Warminger was the Horsford United scorer as they drew at Vale Longo, whilst in what was described as a cracking game, Costessey West End and Dancing Farmers shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Aiden Boast and Nick Aston had scored for Farmers before the home side levelled with a last minute penalty. New Buckenham gained their first points of the season as they won 3-2 at Sporting Longdale. In 1B, DEF FC continued their winning start with a 5-3 victory at Acle Rangers Res, and Revolution FC got off the mark with a 2-1 win at Salhouse Rovers. Lakewood United FC’s first game in senior football ended with a 3-2 defeat at home to Sprowston Wanderers.

Theo Chamberlain was another player to get a treble this weekend as Mischief FC top 2A after a 7-0 victory at home to DCS Rapid. Ed Myers, Matthew Payne, Tommy Miller and Stevie Toomer were also on target. Constable Crusaders were 3-1 winners at home to Newsman Celtic and Mad Moose hit seven (Michael Adcock 3, Sonny Atherton, Daniel Hawkie, Aaran Bennett, OG) without reply in their game with Dynamo FC. The Middle Green got off the mark by beating Micawbers Tavern 5-3, Jonny Bailey 2, Dominic Doggett, Josh Farrow and Alex Riseborough scoring, and Mettingham FC opened their season with a 3-1 home win over Brooke Res. Trimingham Pilgrims and Silver Fox are the early leaders in 2B. The North Norfolk side were 7-2 winners at home to Costessey Sports whilst Silver Fox had a 3-1 (Jason Lambert 2, Luke Gould) victory over Hethersett Athletic. Hickling Barn recovered from last weeks defeat to take all three points in a 5-1 win over Salhouse Rovers Res.

The first two games of the season for Winfarthing FC have seen them find the net on no less than twenty occasions. This time they hit eleven as they ran out comfortable winners against Freethorpe. It was unlucky for some as Mad Moose Res were hit for thirteen by SNS Utd and Marcus McInerny scored five and Ashley Land three as MC Rovers beat Tasburgh Utd 8-3. Westfield FC gained their first win of the season as Kyle Meachen 2, Mark Brock 2, Matthew Lynn, Nathaniel Anderson and Samuel Walden all scoring as they beat AFC Westlegate 7-3, and GaGa FC were 2-0 (Gordon Horine, Aaron Sodah) victors over Hewett Old Boys.

Barracks FC have made a good start to league life as their second game brought about a 6-0 win at East Tuddenham, whilst Kane Wetterland 2, Jack Hurrell, Shaun Grieveson, Lee Newton and Mark Trett all scored for Norwich Ceyms as they recorded a 6-2 victory over North Elmham. Sporting Iceni scored six of the nine goals in their game with Bunwell AFC and Blofield United were 2-0 winners over Harleston Town. Sprowston Athletic won by the odd goal of five at Hethersett Ath Res and after last weeks heavy opening day defeat, Gressenhall FC bounced back to beat Hellesdon FC, Chris Corsbi-Smith 2, Tom Southwell and an OG the scorers in a 4-2 win.

The opening fixtures in the Under 19’s began this weekend and in the A section, Bulldogs FC were 6-3 winners over Wymondham Town, whilst Norwich United had a 3-1 (Harry Borrett 2, Dan Clack) over Newton Flotman, and Attleborough Town overcame Watton Utd by the same score.

Inn the B section, last seasons title winners Marlborough scored six (Adam Wilson 3, Alex Philpott, James Cooper, Tommy Knight) without reply at home to Easton FC and Norman Wanderers also hit six in defeating Blofield Utd Youth. Alistair Michaels and Chris Bloor scored for Hellesdon Youth in their 2-1 win over Norwich United B, whilst Old Catton and Thorpe Village shred the points and eight goals in their game at Sloughbottom.

In Division C, Swanton Morley found the net twenty one times against nine man Happisburgh Hammers, who had four players call off before the game. Jakob Bradford 2, Sam Wharton, James Tubb and Tobias Oliver were on target as Drayton won 5-3 at North Walsham, whilst Sprowston Athletic hit six in beating Horsford youth. Litcham FC made a good start to the season, winning 4-0 at Dereham Town
