SEPT 17th

With this weekend being designated to the County Cups, it was a limited league programme that took place.

After losing a three goal lead to only take a point at Horsford United last week, Schoolhouse were in no mood to drop points again this week and unfortunately for Dilham Cross Keys, they were the team on the receiving end as the home side hit nine to go top of the table. DE FC completed a quick league double by scoring six (Xavier Huckle 3, Fionn Goodwin-Wright, Ashley Davies, Darrell Wigger) of the nine goals in their return fixture with Trimingham Pilgrims, whilst after goals by Chris Lay 2, for the home side and Connor Delaney, Aaron Kay and Lloyd Greening scoring for the visitors a late Lewis Preston goal gave Poringland Wanderers a point in a 3-3 draw at home to Riverside Rovers.

They recorded a stunning victory last week, however Hewett OB’s were given an indication how tight Division One will be this season as they were beaten 2-1 at home by The Middle Green who’s goals came from Adam Brown and Daryl Puttock. There are some good looking teams in this division and I think it will be close all season.

The only game in Division Two saw Barracks FC take a point in a 1-1 draw with Vale Longo.

In Division Four, AFC Norwich recorded a 4-0 home win over Rose Athletic Res, whilst Nelson Ath were 5-3 winners at home to Woodton United.

In the Under 19’s Old Catton made it three from three after beating Hethersett Ath 3-0 whilst Reepham Town have also made a good start, winning their second game 3-1 at Heigham Park Rangers.
