Someone’s Up To Mischief

There’s only one place to start this report…..Sewell Park, where Mischief halted Schoolhouse’s unbeaten record with an excellent 4-2. Schoolhouse had only conceded 4 goals in their first 9 games prior to this. Phoenix picked up their second win of the season beating Middle Green 3-1.  It was all thrills and spills at Griffin Park where Aslacton played out a 0-0 draw with Farmhouse.


Poringland and MC Rovers finally played their first round league cup game, with the Prem side running out 3-1 winners.


From a shock in the Prem to a shock in Div 1 where AFC Norwich’s 100% record was finally broken with Marlborough beating them 3-1. FC Viking travelled to Hethersett and came back with a 5-2 win. Vale Longo where in superbly badly form going down to DCS Rapid 5-0. Norman Wanderers scored twice without reply in their victory over Windmill


The twitter poll this week was for the Div 2 game, Acle Reserves at home to Aylsham. The 58% of people who backed Aylsham were correct after they won 3-2 thanks to Stuart Boam 2 and William Rouse. Easton returned to winning ways thanks to their 3-1 win over Newsman Celtic. Goals from
Manny Macallister 2. Lagshan Sivakumar 2, Rudi Arnold and Alfie Bowles saw Norman Wanderers win against Hethersett Reserves. Barracks moved up to 6th in the league with a 2-0 win against AG Athletic.


Moose Park Rangers are now 7 points clear at the top of Div 3 after their 5-2 win against Sporting Rackheath. Earsham continued their excellent run of form beating FC Viking Reserves 5-0. A Hattrick from Ryan Curtis, a brace from Blue Clarke and further goal from Martin Ferguson got Cringleford get back to winning ways in their win over Woodton.


Marriott continue to lead the way in Div 4 after a close fought 2-1 win over Felthorpe, Jordan Butterfant and Lloyd Reeve scoring. With the top 2 miles ahead it’s a battle for 3rd place. Freethorpe currently occupy that position after hattricks from Ben Cooper and Arthur Gjuka and 2 goals from Genti Haxhiu meant they had an 8-1 win over Salhouse. Tavern Old Boys are level on points as they scored 7 of the 10 goals against Eaton Beehive Reserves. Wensum Helles are in the chase too thanks to their 3-1 win away at Sprowston Rovers, Tom Harvey 2 and James Hunter scoring.
