Schoolhouse against Woolpack in the Senior Cup was always going to the pick of the games and it lived up to it. Schoolhouse winning 2-1 after extra time with Woolpack down to 9 men. Charlie Roe and Shaun Taylor winning it for Schoolhouse. They’ll be joined at Carrow Road but Acle who rushed aside Div 1 side Marlborough. 8-0, Aaron Sanders 3, Nathan Page 2, Sam Whiting 2 and Sam Ellis scoring. In the Junior Cup, Earsham and Long Stratton shared 4 goals before Stratton finally won 9-8 on penalties and will meet Easton in the final. Congratulations to all teams who have made the finals.
Farmhouse just keep winning, a single goal from Kris Hume was enough to beat title contenders Horsford. Phoenix moved up to 7th in the table scoring 3 without reply against bottom side Poringland, Shaun Dunthorne, Ryan Fisher and Tom Rogers with the goals.
In Div 1 there is daylight between the top 2 as Silver Fox moved 4 points clear after their win against 2nd placed AFC Norwich, 4-0, Ashley Henderson 2, Haydn Cunningham and Daniel Bareham scoring which could well see Silver Fox clinch the title. FC Viking travelled to MC Rovers and won by the odd goal in 5 thanks to Danny Shafiyan 2 and Ian Beeden. Windmill picked up another 3 point in their quest for survival beating DCS Rapid 4-3 and Vale Longo’s games without a win continued as they were beaten 2-1 by Bungay Town, James Holden and Braidon Nurse scoring.
3rd played 4th in Div 2 as Eaton Beehive hosted Acle Reserves in a 2-2 draw in what was Eaton’s last game of the season. Matthew Fulcher and William Scott scoring for Acle. Easton moved to within a point of the top of the table, with 2 games in hand as they won 7-1 away at Norman Wanderers A. AG Athletics recent run of good form continued with a 2-1 home win against Barracks. Ethan Goodyear and Jason Winser scoring.
Congratulations to FC Viking Reserves who picked up their first win of the season thanks to goals from Joshua Mannell 2 and Danny Tickle (not the rugby league player) giving them a 3-1 win against Woodton. Eaton Park Corinthians also won 3-1 away at Cringleford, Alex Fletcher, Mohammad Alzubeer and Abiy Haile scoring.
Yelverton are a win away from the Div 4 title as Thomas Knight scored the only goal against Freethorpe and there were 6 goals in the game between Sprowston Rover and Felthorpe, Felthorpe scoring 4 of them.
