Reigning champions Riverside Rovers gave notice that they don’t intend to give up their crown easily by roaring back to the top of the table with Connor Delaney, Jordan Rocastle and James Maxwell Stuart hitting hat tricks and further goals coming from Jamie Riley 2, Arron Kaye and Liam Baker in a big win over bottom side Bungay Town. They now lead on goal difference from Schoolhouse who drew 1-1 at Acle Rangers. DE FC are third after a 4-0 win over Farmhouse whilst Horsford United beat Poringland Wanderers 2-0 thanks to goals from Graham Moss and Michael Thirkettle. The game between the two promoted clubs saw Trimingham Pilgrims run out 4-2 winners at home to Sprowston Wanderers.

In Division 1, leaders Hewett Old Boys went down to a 2-1 defeat at Longdale Rovers, Bradley Warr and Jamie Platten scoring for the home side in a result that saw them side move up into second spot, whilst Aslacton and Phoenix FC took a point each after a 1-1 draw in South Norfolk. It was good to see Dean Mortimer score for the home side after a long spell out through injury. Norman Wanderers Res took their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Windmill Wanderers

Woolpack returned to the top of the Second Division after hitting a dozen at home to Briston FC as morning leaders Marlborough went down 4-1 at Mischief FC. Drayton Dazzlers scored seven when winning at Vale Longo and there was a first win of the season for Hethersett Athletic as they score five (Adam Waters 3, Ryan Hayward, Dan Folkard) without reply at home to Mettingham. Barracks FC also claimed their first win, 4-1 at Mad Moose Athletic.

There are three teams all on twelve points at the top of Division 3. Brooke Res are new leaders as they beat East Tuddenham 6-1 whilst DCS Rapid were going down 2-1 at Newsman Celtic for whom Noah Downes and Chris durrant were on target. Silver Fox are also on twelve points courtesy of a 5-1 win at Dynamo FC. MC Rovers ran out 3-1 victors at home to Harleston Town and Hempnall won by the odd goal of seven at Norman Wanderers A thanks to two Billy Kelly goals plus strikes from Shaun Kelly and Dan Craske. After suffering a heavy defeat last week, Bungay Town Res will be please to have bounced back with a 4-1 home win over Acle Rangers Res.

AFC Norwich remain leaders of Division 4 as they scored seven on their trip to Woodton United, whilst the second and third placed teams also scored seven when winning, Hethersett Ath Res at Rackheath Rangers and FC Viking (Jonny Billing 2, Matt Billing 2, Craig Beeden 3) at home to previously unbeaten Cellar House. Rose Athletic Res beat Sporting Iceni 3-0 (Andy Bajomee, Joe Hoyle, Jed Martell) whilst Eaton Park Corinthians gained a second victory as they beat Nelson Ath 4-0.

In Division 5, AG Athletic top the table after scoring six at home to Ashill. Easton scored seven (Rhys Cousins 4, Ricky Knight 3) in beating Firside and Aylsham hit double figures including four from Owen Collier, when beating FC Viking Res.

Old Catton show no signs of easing up at the top of the Under 19’s as they recorded an 8-2 win at St Andrews. Long Stratton beat Reepham Town 5-2 (Bemrose 3, Woodhouse, Hilton) and remain second on goal difference from Cringleford who were 7-2 winners over Mulbarton Wanderers. Scole United hit six (Harry Brookes 3, Luke Gould, Reece Lanchester, Callum Nash) without reply against Heigham Park Rangers, whilst Hellesdon gained their first three points, winning 5-1 at Hethersett Athletic, goals coming from Ben Peters 3, Kailum D’eath and Tinashe Madzimur.
