County Cup action returned at the weekend. In the Senior Cup there were 2 all Prem ties, Horsford beat Farmhouse 4-0 and Poringland scored 7 without reply against The Middle Green. There were 5 ties involving Prem side against Div 1. MC Rovers were the only Div 1 side to progress to the next round after an excellent 5-4 at home to Phoenix. The other Prem sides had things go much more their way, Aslacton travelling to Hethersett and winning 4-0, Acle scoring 9 (Aaron Sanders 3, Harrison Tooley 3, Elliot Altay, Sam Ellis and Sam Whiting) without conceding against AFC Norwich, Schoolhouse winning 9-1 away at Norman Wanderers, Jack Robinson 3, Shaun Taylor 3, Connor Charlesworth, Calum Webb and Jack Hurrell all scoring, and Woolpack scoring all 6 goals against Windmill. The all Div 1 clash between DCS Rapid and Marlborough saw 5 goals, with Marlborough coming out on top, winning 3-2.
In the Junior Cup, Easton went goal crazy as they smashed 14 against Woodton, Jake Zelos 3, Ryan Gray 3, Carl Branson 2, Thomas Cullum 2, Connor Love 2, Jake London and Jody Peacher with the goals. Goals from Daniel Hawkie and Jason Tyler helped Eaton Beehive beat Acle Reserves 2-0. Mark Allibone came off the bench for Watton and scored all 4 of his teams goals in a 4-1 win away at Eaton Park Corinthians. Norman Wanderers A progressed after a 3-2 home win against Sprowston United. A hattrick from Ashley Varley, a double from Dan Smith and a goal from Christopher Peck saw Earsham score 6 of the 8 goals in their win against Felthorpe. Long Stratton picked up a 5-0 against Yelverton thanks to goals from James Bemrose 2, James Daniels, Charlie Deakin and Adam Race. Div 4 side had an excellent 1-0 against 2nd placed Div 3 side Moose Park Rangers
The only tie to include a side not in the Norwich League, saw Newsman Celtic go down 4-1 at home to Danepak.
There was 1 game in Div 1 which saw Silver Fox travel to FC Viking and come away with a 3-2 win which saw them move up to 2nd, keeping their 100% record in place
2 games took place in Div 2, Alysham moved up to 2nd after scoring 10 against Hethersett Reserves, in a 10-1 win (Kieran Harrison 5, Stuart Boam, Jake Bonner, Fletcher Dyson, William Rouse and Christopher Pearce). AG Athletic travelled to East Tuddenham and came away with a 4-2 win after goals from Ethan Goodyear, Jack Gordon John Flynn, Gareth Hobley and Ashley Ling.
Div 3 saw Old Catton win 7-1 away at Cellar House, Luke Graver 2, Jack Nunn 2, Charlie Peberday 2 and Lewis Townshend scoring for Old Catton. William IV now have 5 wins out of 5 with a 4-1 win against Sporting Rackheath.
Marriott continue to lead the way in Div 4 scoring 6 against Freethrope, who replied with 3 of their own. Tavern Old Boys are 4 points behind in second, but have a game in hand, after they beat Sprowston Rovers 6-3, Joshua Macann 2, Nathan Bailey, Garry Evans, Liam Stockell and Jay Tiplady wuth the goals.
