Wish This Rain Would Fork Off!

County Cup Semi Final weekend can only mean 1 thing, a shed load of rain, so 3 of the 4 games were called off.  Efforts were made at The Fountain as former league secretary Ben Casey and Referee Tom Harvey tried to fork the pitch but no success.

Congratulations to Easton for making it to the final of the Junior Cup with a 2-0 against Tavern Old Boys. Easton’s biggest name player with both goals…Marcus Dunthorpe-McInerney

In league action, Farmhouse were at it again, winning 3-0 against Mischief, Connor Fadden, Charlie Wade and Daniel Howes with the goals.

AFC Norwich moved to within a point of the top of table and guaranteed their promotion to the Prem with a 4-2 win against Norman Wanderers, all the H’s, Harvery Harwood with 2 goals, Ben Colk and Jordan Crane also scoring. Viking are up to 3rd in the table scoring 6 of the 7 goals at home to Bungay Town. Hethersett gave their survival hopes a boost with a 3-2 win against fellow strugglers DCS Rapid, Andrew Colling, Tom Cowell and Oliver Buxton scoring. There was 8 goals in the game between Windmill and MC Rovers, with MC winning 5-3. The bottom 5 clubs are now separated by only 3 points.

The top 2, Aylsham and Easton, in Div 2 weren’t in league action but both gained promotion after Eaton Beehive slipped, a big slip, up at home AG Athletic, 5-1. Barracks moved up to 4th in the table after their 4-2 win against Newsman Celtic.

Div 3 sees Moose Park Rangers needing just a point to take the title after they scored the only goal of the game against Cringleford. Sporting Rackheath welcomed to Viking Reserves to Rackheath Playing Fields and won by 4 goals to 1.

There was only 1 game in Div 4 as Sprowston United took on Felthorpe, sharing 4 goals in a 2-2 draw, Charlie Gavin and Toby Hutchins with Felthorpe’s goals.
