Woolpack Come Out on Top

The big clash of the day saw Woolpack host Acle Rangers at the Fountain, 2 of the favourites for the Premier title. Woolpack came out on top, scoring 5 of the 8 goals.  Schoolhouse still top the league, albeit on goal difference, after a 4-0 away win at Aslacton, Jack Robinson, Calum Webb, Ryan Lythgoe and Shaun Taylor scoring. Horsford were the big scorers, scoring 7 and keeping a clean sheet against Phoenix (Jordan Rocastle 5, Daniel Mace and Aaron Kay). Samuel Brooks, Dominic Doggett and Sam Mardell all scored for The Middle Green as they returned from Farmhouse with a 3-0 win. Mischief picked up their first 3 points in the Premier with a 3-1 home win over Poringland, Oliver Hutt, Brad Lake and Alain Medina scoring, Luke Casey replying.

 

AFC Norwich maintained their 100% start to life in Division 1 with a 6-2 win over Bungay Town, Ali Zandi helping himself to a hattrick, Danny Barsoukov 2 and Jordan Crane with the other goals. Norman Wanderers still top the Division though courtesy of a 1-1 draw with DCS Rapid, who have now drawn all 4 of their games this season. Viking travelled to Windmill and won by the odd goal in 7 to move to 3rd. Silver Fox are 4th after coming away from MC Rovers with a 5-1 win, Craig Boyles 2, Jack Gill 2 and Bradley Yates. Vale Longo went to Hethersett and came away with the 3 points, winning 5-0 thanks to goals from Aaron Saddleton 2, Andy Adams 2 and Andy Critten.

 

Division 2 saw Eaton Beehive host Watton United and it was the home side that picked up the 3 points, winning 6-2. Andrew Bajomee 2, Lewis Ellis 2, Daniel Hawkie and Conor Durrant. Easton are enjoying life in Division 2 having now scored 17 in 3 games after scoring 8 against AG Athletic, who could only manage 2 in reply. Aylsham moved up to 3rd with an 6-1 win away against Newsman Celtic, Thomas Coe and Phillip Read both scoring a brace, with Carl Lawrence and Aedan Oliver also scoring for Aylsham. Nathaniel Mayling scored 5 for Acle Rangers Reserves as they won 7-1 at home to Hethersett Reserves, Harvey Durrant and Harrison Gooch with the other goals. Sam Goldsmith scored all 4 goals for Barracks as they beat Eat Tuddenham 4-1.

 

In Division 3 William IV are going goals crazy, 25 in 3 games and 3 wins from 3 as they beat FC Viking Reserves 6-1. Cringleford are hot on their heels, keeping up their 100% start to the season, winning 2-0 against Cellar House, Ryan Curtis and Liam Hannant scoring. Moose Park Rangers travelled to Woodton and took the 3 points, winning 3-1. Eaton Park Corinthian hosted Sporting Rackheath and picked up a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Daniel Lee 2 (who was only on the pitch for the final 12 minutes) and Adam Barry.

 

There were 14 goals in the Division 4 clash between Sprowston United and previously unbeaten Tavern Old Boys. Sprowston took the honours, winning 10-4, Jamie Keane and Jake Sexton scoring 4 whilst Kai Healing and Owen Lancaster got a goal apiece. Marriott moved to the top of the table, winning 6-1 against Yelverton. Louis Brown 2, Joel Baldwin, Louis Baron, Jordan Butterfant and Ryan Wheeler on target for Marriott. Freethorpe and Eaton Beehive Reserves shared 4 goals, drawing 2-2.

 

The final 2 Junior Cup game’s of the 1st round were also played, with Wensum Helles beating Sprowston Rovers 1-0 and Earsham coming¬†away from Old Catton with 3-2 win.
